I've had these turkish towels for a year now and I will never go back to the typical terry towel again. Especially living through the humid summer here where neighbors complained about their towels taking several runs through the dryer to dry.
But, after a year, the tassels were looking frayed and sad. I trimmed them off and sewed the edges and it changed the look of the towels drastically! I like how they look without the tassels, so if I ever get more towels I would sew the edges right away.
It's cool how a bit of sewing can change the look of something!
